Beat The Self Isolation Boredom With These TV Viewing Ideas

Isn’t the world just a bit crazy place right now? Here in Australia, we are fortunate enough to not be as impacted by this COVID-19 virus like other countries around the world but our numbers of those with the virus are steadily and slowly rising. Everyone is panic buying and embarrassingly, we made international news for buying a lot (and I mean A LOT) of toilet paper!

With everything happening around the world right now and people either being forced to quarantine or are volunteering to self isolate, I thought there’s no better time to put together a list of my favourite shows that may help to keep you entertained.

The Witcher (Netflix)

If you’re a fan of monsters, fantasy, amazing action scenes and a shirtless Henry Cavill, then you’re in for a real treat!

The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, who is a hunky monster hunter for hire, and Princess Ciri, a young princess caught up in a bad situation. The series explores the characters and events that link both the main protagonists together in their destiny.

Watch if you’re after an escape from reality with a side of sexy.

One Strange Rock (Disney+)

Will Smith narrates this amazingly educational and entertaining documentary with former NASA astronauts about how unique and amazing our planet and universe is.

Watch if you need a reminder of just how amazing the universe and planet is.

Good Omens (Amazon Prime)

If you were a fan of the quirky 2007 TV re-adaptation of Wizard of Oz, Tin Man, then you will LOVE Good Omens.

Good Omens is a miniseries based on a novel with the same name. It follows a demon named Crowley and an angel named Aziraphale who are living on earth as representatives of heaven and hell. These two unusual friends must end up working together to save the world from armageddon.

Watch if you need a good chuckle with all this doomsday chatter.

The Boys (Amazon Prime)

This is the anti-superhero story. This TV shows follow a group of vigilantes as they fight against those with superpowers who abuse their abilities. It’s quirky, funny and action-packed!

Watch if you need a good underdog story.

The World According to Jeff Goldblum (Disney+)

Two words: Jeff Goldblum.

Jeff Goldblum narrates this documentary series that takes a look at the things we all love in this world. It’s funny, uplifting, educational and entertaining!

Watch if you need an uplifting and entertaining view of the random things in our lives – or just need more Jeff Goldblum in your life (let’s be honest, you can never have too much!).

In this time of mass anxiety, please make sure you keep yourself mentally, physically and spiritually happy and healthy – where ever you are in the world. If you have any movie and tv show recommendations for me, let me know!

Much love,
Lara X
